Get Your Silly Out.....
We pulled in to Page, AZ around 11:30 Friday night. We decided to split the drive up for Derek's sake, and lets just say it ended up being a GREAT idea.
We had a busy schedule to keep to for the most part, and first up was a dinner date with a handful of friends. It was so fun to see how much the little one's have grown and we had such a great time catching up.
You can't go to dinner and not tell the waiter it's your friends birthday so they can get embarrassed and free ice cream.. right? :) props to myself and Meela!
After dinner Saturday night we had gone to Church in my old ward and visited friends, then had a nice home cooked meal at the Reece's. MMMMM! Monday me and Derek were able to spend time with my parents at home, and Bryson hung out with his brothers. Then Monday night Grandpa & Grandma Reece took us out for a really nice dinner at a steak house, it was so fun and nice to relax. Derek was Grandpa Reece's little buddy for the night. (Thanks again mom & dad for letting us crash at your place for a majority of the time we really appreciated it)!
Daddy bought Derek a sweet jersey while we were visiting. It just looked awesome on him!
Uncle Colby & Derek became best buddies in no time! Before you knew it Derek wasn't leaving his side, he was just having too much fun!
On Tuesday night before the Jazz game we were able to meet up with a handful of the Robison family and friends for a quick bite to eat. It was so yummy!
We had a double date to the Jazz game, good friends of ours Aaron, and his wife Erica. It was a blast, and luckily the Jazz won it! Hmmmm Boozer is no where on the bench... go figure!
When we headed out Wednesday we had decided the night before that we were going to stop in Vegas because we found a room for 25$ on the strip! We couldn't pass it up and we were worried Derek couldn't handle the 12 hour drive.
We had a lot of fun for a night in Vegas, and Derek had a ball looking at all the lights as we walked the strip. I also played the .25 slot machines and won $20 playing just $1 so I was feeling good. The next morning Bryson played our $20 and came out with $40 on top of it, $60 bucks isn't bad when you're not planning on it. :) Vegas Baby!
We stopped at an In & Out Burger before leaving Vegas, and I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this guy come out of the restaurant. His shorts tell me that I am the one out of style.
We learned a lot about Derek during this road trip, for example.... he hates when his socks are on. He would pull them off as soon as he sat in his chair, and then the second you turned around to look at him he would have them shoved behind his head and he would look at you with a face of "what? I didn't do anything". So silly.
I think we got home just in time! Derek was so worn out and was just done by the end of it.
We love everyone, and again are so grateful for everything everyone did for us.
